2. Building relationships with trust
No matter what type of relationship you wish to build, be it a personal or
business relationship trust is really important. If you don’t have trust you
will always be suspicious and worried about your relationship. Think of
trust like a glue that can hold relationship together. However you can
decide actions that will help you build trust easier.
Every relationship is different. Building trust in a personal relationship is
different from building a business relationship, however both have some
common building blocks. One really important thing to remember is that
actions will always speak louder than words so remember to make sure
your actions are always in sync with what you say.

The following are the key points when it comes to trust.

For any relationship to succeed you must have trust. You must have
confidence with the other person in the relationship. If you keep these
important principles in mind, you can build trust in any relationship.
The majority of people are trustworthy
I know what it’s like to lose trust in someone, and it is not good, it is
very difficult to move on and work with the other person. However it is
important to realize that most people can be trusted. Try to be more
trusting with people and you will build better relationships.
What if someone lets you down?
Sometimes we need to give people a second chance. After all everyone,
including me has messed up at some point. However how do you know
if someone deserves a second chance?
So what are the factors?
Has the person tried to rebuild the trust between you?
What is the nature of the relationship?
But can you believe someone when they say they are sorry? Maybe,
however ask yourself have they changed their ways? Will they do it
again?
I personally believe that you must go with your gut feeling. Sometimes
you will feel that the person is just not worth trusting again. Again it’s a
feeling that you will know that you have and you will just know not to
trust them. Even when someone says they are sorry can you believe
them? Are they just going thru the motions? It’s up to you to decide.
What happens if you break someone’s trust?

4. If something happens and you break the trust of someone you should
apologize as soon as you can. However you must mean it. Make it your
business to rebuild that trust. Be sincere and make sure you do
everything that is needed to rebuild the trust.
Each person must decide what trust is. For some people doing X might
be a breach of trust for others it might not be so serious. It is up to you to
decide what your level of trust is and what constitutes a breach of trust.
Trust is personal, remember that.
In order to make sure your relationships can succeed decide today to
keep your word and do everything that you promise. The more trust you
have in the other person the better your relationship will be. When you
trust the other person, your relationship, whether business or personal
will thrive
