General premise of RDA is the principle of true representation = Take what you see and accept what you getTitle transcription include capitalization, punctuation, abbreviations, inaccuracies, symbols, numerals, etc.Don't correct errors and use [sic] or [i.e] transcribe as is and add a note of explanationAbbreviations Don’t use abbreviations or substitutions in the edition, publisher, series designation and numbering, etc. (unless they are printed that way) v. = volume ; 1st ed. = first edition; [s.l.; s.n.] = [place of publication not identified], [publisher not identified]GMD instead use the new fields Content type, Media type and Carrier type (336,337, & 338 )Dates Copyright date is a separate element from date of publication, distribution, etc. If no date is stated, supply a probable date following RDA rules
