MEDITATING YOUR WAY TO A HEART-HEALTHY LIFE.
This slideshow was created by Kathleen Todd and Susan Green who teach about the benefits of meditation, particularly as a way of coping with heart health issues.
Most of the patients who attend their sessions have had some type of heart rhythm problem that can be possibly be controlled by medication, implantable pacemaker/defibrillators and now a new tool, meditation.

21. Mindful Meditation made easy
It doesn’t have to be difficult.
It should be easy and peaceful.
Do not set your mind on how long it should be.
Start with 5 minutes then move to longer times.
22. Let’s get started
Sit in a comfortable area.
Cross your legs and close your eyes.
Keep your back straight and head erect.
You can use a wall for support.
Inhale deep into your stomach and
exhale out through the mouth.
Hold the inhalation for a count of 3 and
exhale.
23. Thoughts … or ‘monkey mind’
Random thoughts will
happen.
Don’t fight them; let
them be.
Meditation is always
working.
24. Meditation for Life
Change will come when you least expect it.
Practice absolutely makes it easier and
gives you more control over your health.
Be a patient patient.
And you can meditate ANYWHERE!
