2. Characters.
• Within the music video we decided to keep the characters to a minimum to
create a sense of isolation. We chose three characters in total; the daughter
who is a teenage girl abused by her father; the drunken father who is the point
of all the hurt caused in the video and the mother who is unaware that
anything is going on apart from having an alcoholic husband, her role in the
video is to show that the abuse can be hidden as she is too busy to notice. We
also decided her to portray her as a caring mother and we attempted to show
this through her clothing and the way that when she is around she tries to be
close to her daughter, picking things up after.The daughter is shown to be the
victim within our video as we believe conventionally in any situation a younger
female Is seen as the victim compared to a grown man the reality of the video
will help some audience members to relate and . The father within the video is
shown to be an antagonist who abuses his daughter. For his character we
aimed to show a stereotypical father we also included an element of a
disorganized individual, we again did this through costume and his body
positioning within shots.
