In the beginning GOD created...

1. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth. KJV

2. There are those who argue about the bible and question its truth… The major battle for the validity of the WORD wraps around this verse …….in particular Discredit or cause doubt about this verse and cast doubt on everything else GOD says in the rest of “the book”

4. Science says… That neither miracles nor Scripture can be proven with final certainty, but then neither can scientific theory's or propositions. To be considered provable it must be: Reproducible and Observable Faith-to believe in either… Creation Evolution

5. God was there, at creation, HE observed creation and recorded it… He also reproduces creation on a mini scale daily for all to see Procreation…when a husband and wife are involved with GOD in conception/birth

6. God makes no effort to prove His existence…in Gen 1:1 The very fact that we are here (or exist) proves that there must be a “maker” George and Carols Garage I believe the universe/creation screams the absolute certainty of Almighty Creator God

7. My belief is that I need to spend my time studying the truth not the false… Then when I see the false I recognize it immediately as wrong… In other words I need to be primarily studying GODS word and not other religions or beliefs… Treasury Department

9. The Beginning….. God existed in sublime glory. God is eternal; He has neither beginning nor ending. Therefore, He is totally self-sufficient and needs nothing more than Himself in order to exist or to act. "God has a voluntary relation to everything He has made," wrote A.W. Tozer, "but He has no necessary relation to anything outside of Himself." God needs nothing, neither the material universe nor the human race, and yet He created both.

10. In” the beginning” God created the heaven and the earth… The beginning of “time” We cannot comprehend this… At the appropriate appointedperiodand place God created and “time” began…

16. In the beginning God CREATED the heaven and the earth. Here we find a special sense of comfort and joy. God did act, freely and from His own choice, to create. There is meaning to the universe, and a purpose to human life. Power… Authority… Responsibility… Ownership…

17. Creator/ Owner Owner gets to “enjoy” what they own… Owner knows the “purpose” for there creation… Owner knows how “to care” for what they own…

18. He (Louie) was talking about how inconceivably BIG our God is... How He spoke the universe into being... How He breathes stars out of His mouth that are huge raging balls of fire.. Etc. Etc. Then He went on to speak of how this star-breathing, universe creating God ALSO knitted our human bodies together with amazing detail and wonder. At this point I am LOVING it (fascinating from a medical standpoint, you know.) . And I was remembering how I was constantly amazed during medical school as I learned more and more about God's handiwork. I remember so many times thinking,'How can ANYONE deny that a Creator did all of this???' Louie went on to talk about how we can trust that the God who created all this, also has the power to hold it all together when things seem to be falling apart...how our loving Creator is also our sustainer.

19. It was because he started talking about laminin. I knew about laminin.. Here is how Wikipedia describes them: 'Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue' You see.... Laminins are what hold us together... LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them, we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I didn't know is what they LOOKED LIKE..

20. Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!! Amazing. The glue that holds us together.... ALL of us.... Is in the shape of the cross. Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind. 'He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible And invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or Authorities; All things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him All things HOLD TOGETHER.' Colossians 1:15-17 Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those words. And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held together... One cell to another.... By the cross.

21. This verse, Gen.1:1 is not about the beginning or the creation… Wonder of wonders that this Great creator God loved us enough to come to His creation and to spread His arms and die for us!!
