Institutional Framework
2007: IICA presented a draft agrotourism strategy at the joint
meeting of the Alliance of Ministers of Agriculture and COTED at
the Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA)
2008: Recommendation from the Caribbean Heads of Government
Meeting (2008) that an Agrotourism Task Force be convened
2010: Joint meeting of OECS Ministers of Agriculture and
Ministers of Tourism to build greater synergies between agriculture
and tourism,
2011 – IICA and the CARICOM Secretariat hosted a regional
workshop designed to fine-tune the regional strategy proposed by
IICA.
