Formal Email is an effective form of
communication because it is a quick,
appropriate and convenient way of
contacting an employee.
   Why is it important to communicate with other
    employees?
    So you don’t get                       So that other
    bored while working                    employees can cover
                                           for you.


    So the job at hand                    So you can ask them
    can be accomplished                   about there plans
    effectively and                       over the weekend
    efficiently
It is important that the job at hand can be
accomplished sufficiently and successfully
so that the business/organisation can be
successful.
   What would be the appropriate body language in an
    interview?

    Sitting up straight                  Yawing In an
                                         impolite fashion




    Sitting in a                         Crossing arms
    slouched position                    while sitting on a
                                         chair
It would appropriate to sit up straight while in
an interview because it shows that in the
interview that the person in the interview is
confident and qualified for the job and when
other people look at you they a positive
impression rather than a negative.
   What is an inappropriate way of using your phone
    when in the work place?

Using in case of an                         Turning it off

Calling a friend to socialise would be an
inappropriate way to use your phone while in
the work place because when your in the
work place you are meant to work and are
not supposed to be using your phone to
socialise to friends.
   Why is it useful to use emoticons when emailing
    someone?

It’s useful to use emoticons to come across

Active learners are people that involve participation
in learning rather than listening to a speaker. Active
learners listen to the teacher for specific information
other than listening passively. Their mind is focused
on words, phrases or blocks of information which
helps the learner understand the topic that he/she is
trying to learn.
   What would be a formal and convenient way of
    arranging a staff meeting


Sending an email to                   Leaving a brief post-it

The most formal and conventional way of arranging
a staff meeting would be to send an email to
everyone involved detailing the time and place
because putting a brief post-it note on the staff desks
wouldn’t be very convenient or sufficient, sending a
text to all of the staff involved would be sufficient but
it wouldn’t be vey appropriate and informing all of the
staff members involved face to face would be quite
time consuming.
   When in the workplace would it be appropriate/convenient to
    communicate with other staff members

    When the staff member

    is on the phone
                                            information is
                                            needed to be given



    When the staff member
    is in a meeting                         To arrange a party
                                            for the weekend
It would be appropriate/convenient with
   other staff members when relevant
   information is needed to be given this is so
   that the staff member can then take in the
   information and do what is needed which
   would push the fluency of work in the work
   place.
   If you’re on the phone and your work colleagues
    are making a lot of noise how would you deal with
    this situation?
    To shout at your                 Hang up and then
    colleagues to be quiet           have a word with
                                     your colleagues



    To put the caller on hold        Join in the
    and quietly tell your            conversation with

The most appropriate way to deal with that
 sort of situation would be to politely ask the
 caller to be put on hold as the work
 colleagues are making too much noise and
 they can’t hear the caller clearly.
 Ifyou see a work colleague being bullied in
  the work place how would you deal with this
  situation?
  Report this to                  Confront the
  your manager                    bully and
                                  threaten them




   Join in                         Ignore it and
                                   carry on
                                   regardless
The right thing to do in that situation would
 be to report it to your manager so they he
 can sort it out instead of you trying to sort it
 out and maybe making the whole situation
 worse.
