Eligibility - Businesses with energy bills greater that £50,000 per year may apply. Implementation advice EEDA - Through the South East England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Competitiveness Programme, £15million has been secured to advance low carbon initiatives. SEEDA is supporting programmes to help businesses improve in areas of sustainable procurement, sustainable design and innovation, sustainable construction and reduction, re-use and recycling. Then next call for projects seeking funding will be in early 2010.

- Some recommendations will involve no capital outlay whatsoever. Where capital expenditure is necessary, our consultant will work with you to calculate the payback period.

- Through Business Link, the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is offering Energy Grant 500 to help small businesses. The project is designed to raise awareness of energy usage in the business. It provides a grant of up to £500 to implement changes that will result in reduced energy costs and a smaller carbon footprint.

- Independent social enterprise – not for profit organisation Guarantee funding for proven technologies Money provided by Carbon Trust
- Generation tariff paid by energy supplier for each unit of electricity generated. Rate will change yearly, but once agreed will last for 20-25 years. Export tariff – 3p/kwh from energy supplier for energy exported back to the grid.
