4. 1. Street Missions
(Involvement by the St David’s Cathedral Renewal Fellowship)
• Working with, helping or supporting, groups like the
Missionaries of Charity and 40 Days for Life; with a range
of activities and programs.
• Street Missions help engage with the public of all
backgrounds; Meeting them where they are in their faith,
listening to them, and guiding them onwards.
• Street Missions help guide people who are open to find
out more, along their walk of faith, by inviting them to
one or more event that may help them gain a better
understanding of the Christian Faith and the Catholic

5. Street Mission Work is an act of Charity and involves:-
• Being a Visible Catholic Witness on the Streets
• Praying on the Streets with MC & 40 Days for Life, etc…
• Animated Scriptures in Lent and Advent with MC
• Engaging in peaceful discussion with people
• Sharing the Good News of God’s Love & Saving Grace
• Inviting interested people to visit the Church or inviting
them to one or more of the activities
• Developing a matrix of suitable information; events/talks
and hand outs for follow-up

• Weekly prayers before the Blessed
Sacrament
• Rosary
• Divine Mercy Chaplet

• Followed by Refreshments in the
Sacristy

• The Christian Cinema Club is designed to
facilitate Evangelisation or Re-Evangelisation.
• Weekly Films and Documentaries
• Animating Bible Stories and Catholic Saints
Lives and Catholic teachings, etc...

“For some people it is easier to invite
their friends and family to come and
watch a film than to invite them to a
Church activity.”
• Generally Planned to follow the Liturgical Year
• A wide range of Films to cover most Bible Stories
• Free Membership and Entrance (Donations Only)
• Followed by Hospitality – Tea/Coffee & Snacks
• Making this a social activity with a mission and a follow-
up to other events, activities and programs

• Reveals the Healing Ministry of

Mass at St David’s Cathedral
• During Mass Canon Peter invites
Volunteers to the Sanctuary and says a
prayer of Commissioning

(E.g. Annual Retreat & Conference Led by Spiro at
The Pantasaph Franciscan Friary- Running since 2009)
• 2, 3 or 4 day annual retreats away encouraged to help
personal spiritual growth
• Helps volunteering teams bond, share and reflect.
• Helps Mission and Evangelistic teams gain experience
• Increases their knowledge of Scriptures and the
practice of various ministries
• Leadership Training; Seminars & Workshops
