Interoperability and ecosystems: Assembling the industrial metaverse
Creativity mind map
1. Conventions of Digital Technology
real media texts
I MAC’S software such as
Photoshop, Final Cut and live type.
AS – L.A Confidential – used the film noir generic This allowed creativity and
conventions but was able to have sub genres within. manipulation of text and images
(Good cop/Bad cop) through AS and A2.
Video Camera (Sony)
A2 – Queens of the Stone Age – no one knows gave us Still Camera (Nikon D80)
influence for the humour within it, but allowed us to be a Web 2.0 – (www.blogger.com)
lot more creative as we had the humour convention but Flash microphone
we could enhance and change it in anyway we wanted. I movie
TDCC – I can talk, allowed us to adapt the thought beat
technique to our video as it uses it throughout.
Killers – Use of reoccurring photos across digi pak and Creativity
advert to show comparisons.
Prezi & Blogger.
Research and Planning
AS – Set brief allowed us to be creative as it only stated to have a 2- minute
opening film sequence so we had freedom of mise-en-scene, editing and
Post-production camera etc. but still had to stick to original conventions of the style of film we
have chosen e.g. Film Noir or horror, use of real media texts such as L.A
Confidential was key also.
Garage Band
Live type A2 – We had a lot more freedom than AS so it allowed us to be a lot more
Final Cut creative within the media promo package as we could choose what genre and
I Movie also how everything was edited and appeared. We still had to keep within the
Photoshop music genre conventions but in A2 it’s was a lot less restricted.
Web 2.0 programmes – Blogger, Prezi
Music Video/ Advert/ Digi pak analysis – allowed freedom within genre
9 – Frame Analysis & audience research.
