Motivation
3
●
Modern websites of tourist organizations have also to open their content for
semantic technologies.
●
Microformats, RDFa, Microdata and other basic technologies open
information for search engines.
●
Complex technologies like triplestores connect also more explicit
information and offer also an approach to query data (SPARQL).
●
How may touristic enterprises develop their websites with focus on
annotation on semantic web?
●
Which technologies are available to achieve this goal?
●
Small- and medium-sized enterprises often do not have the resources to
design an decent semantical annotated web representation.

Objectives
5
The objectives of this thesis are
●
to integrate semantic web technologies in CMS.
●
How may Content-Management-Systems support present and future semantic
web technologies?
●
What are the economically most reasonable way to integrate semantic web
technologies?
●
to provide information in a triplestore for further exploitation
●
How may search engines use the provided data and what are the possibilities?
●
What are the key benefits of semantically annotated websites and do this
benefits justify the efforts and costs?

Approach
6
●
Read and investigate the technologies and support of Semantic
technologies in CMS (Drupal in particular).
●
Publish information with this technologies on the website.
●
Develop an knowledge base of the website content with RDF support.
●
Test and validate in the context of the website of “Hotel rotes Wildschwein”.
●
Research for further possibilities of exploitation.
