According to Silicon Valley Bank's Innovation Economy Outlook study, Southeast executives in part reflect national trends related to optimism, hiring and the need for workers with STEM skills. The region differs from elsewhere in the United States with higher than average performance and different sources of funding. Executives in the Southeast were the least likely in the nation to cite venture capital as their next source of funding.
