Create a holiday stocking in the shape of Shamu's tail. It's a great activity for the kids while they're home for the holidays. You can make them for the whole family. Template required.

3. Shamu Tail Fluke Stocking
• Using template
provided, cut out the
tail fluke shape out
of construction
paper.
• With a marker,
trace the
construction paper
template onto the
white piece of felt.
4. Shamu Tail Fluke Stocking
• Lay the piece of
white felt onto the
black felt. Be sure
the black felt covers
the whole template.
• To keep the pieces
together, staple the
felt together inside
the template.

template. Be sure to

6. Shamu Tail Fluke Stocking
• Punch holes around the border of the fluke.
There should be 7 holes along the bottom and
4 holes on each side (not including the whole

• Write your name (or
make a design) on
the black side of the
tail fluke in glue.
(Don’t be afraid to
use a lot of glue. The
more glue you use,
the more glitter can
stick.)
9. Shamu Tail Fluke Stocking
• Quickly, cover the glue with glitter.
10. Shamu Tail Fluke Stocking
• After about 10-15
minutes, brush any
excess glue off the
tail fluke onto a
piece of paper to
transfer back to the
glitter bottle.
• Once completely dry,

glitter from the
felt.

Editor's Notes
It’s helpful if you use scissors to remove the remnants of the punched out holes.
