8. Pre Upgrade Procedures
Review Custom Reports & Macros
- Save/Backup any custom reports or macros
- Review the update notice and refer to the AOM
- Test the reports/macros in the upgraded version
- Run the reports/macros prior to upgrade and compare

9. Pre Upgrade Procedures
Preparing your Sage 300 ERP data
- If you are using Sage 300 ERP version 5.5,5.4 or 5.3,
you must upgrade your data to version 5.6 before you
can proceed to 6.0 or 6.1
- If you are using Sage 300 ERP version 5.2 or earlier, you
must upgrade your database to an intermediate version
(5.3, 5.4 or 5.5) before proceeding to 5.6

- Run Day End Processing (If you use Inventory Control)
- Post any open batches in A/R and A/P
- Post any open batches in G/L
- Check Data Integrity and correct any errors.
- Perform any pre-required upgrade steps on 3rd party
modules

Upgrade Steps for Sage 300 ERP
- Uninstall the previous version of System Manager
- Install Sage 300 ERP Programs
- Install the latest Product Update
- Enter License Information
- Activate your data

- Run Data Integrity for each module
- Run selected reports to confirm information is the same
- Back up
