The document discusses the successes of the company's Build-to-Run (B2R) Program in its first year. Automation has increased, giving employees more time for important tasks. Production Services and Solution Delivery are collaborating better for an end-to-end view of projects, exceeding goals to improve baseline performance by over 15%. For next year, the plan is to increase collaboration between teams, focus on product roadmaps to build customer loyalty, and further improve software through increased automation and testing. B2R is an ongoing effort to continually improve business operations and performance over time.
1. Build-to-Run – We’re Running Fast
2015 is coming to a close, marking the end of a successful first year for the Build-to-Run
(B2R) Program. We’ve accomplished great things this year as a company, and you are
the reason.
What’s better now?
Automation: More of the tasks that no one wants to do are handled by the
computer, giving you more time for the things that matter
Collaboration: Production Services (PdS) and Solution Delivery (SD) are working
together to form an end-to-end view of the project lifecycle, and we’re on our way
to improve our baseline performance by over 15%
Value Stream: Wasteful activities have been eliminated to make room for more
useful tasks
We didn’t hit our goals with B2R in 2015: we exceeded them. So should we stop now?
Of course not! Now that we know we’re heading in the right direction, we can keep our
foot on the pedal.
What’s the plan for next year?
Increased collaboration: We can take it further. Face-to-face interaction isn’t just
good for the project; it’s good for the employee. Take a moment, get a coffee, and
talk with someone from a different team
Happier customers: An increased focus on road-mapping our products to show
improvements over time will build more loyalty with our customers
Testing: We’ll keep improving our software, working with 3rd
parties, and
increasing automation even further to save everyone time
B2R is an incremental journey. We’ve seen major improvements this year in the way we
do business, and we will continue to see them next year, and the year after that. Thank
you for being a part of the program: with your help, we will keep getting better.
