2. The Warehouse
When we first pitched the idea for our Ignotus gang
scenes we pictured a warehouse that was very
minimalistic in the sense of furniture. So we rang a
storage company to see if they would help us out and let
us use a storage room of theirs for an hour or two.
However they unfortunately did not have any room for us
to film. So back to the drawing board we went! Then we
realised that the place in which I work has a very dull
room that we could play around with to give the effect of
a dark warehouse. So we had to politely ask my boss and
she was fine with it. So we went to check it out. These are
our results.
3. We found that the room
was a very old fashioned
meeting room with just
chairs and plain walls
inside.
4. The Warehouse
After establishing that we could use this room to
our advantage, we decided to go back in a few
days and start filming. Here are some pictures of
what the room looked like after we finished
sorting it to our preferences and were just
finishing the final touches to shoot the scenes.
5. As you can see the room is
barren and has a single table
inside for the ‘drug’
preparation to be done on.
6. The “Drug Den”
The “drug den” was, not an easier location to
gather but it was easier than finding the location to
shoot the other scenes. to get the sense of a “drug
den” across we had to find somewhere quite tightly
packed together and most importantly a place that
we could make look really messy to give the
stereotypical place for an addicts “drug den”. After
many discussion we realised that Danny’s house
was perfect for the “drug den” as his dad had
allowed us to make it messy and it also had a real
CCTV camera outside which is perfect for what we
need in our final scene.
7. As you can see the house is
rather narrow and has a
CCTV camera built into the
wall. The ideal location for us
to film.
8. The “Drug Den”
After establishing that we could use the house
for the filming we went back a few days after
filming the Ignotus gang scenes. as it was
Danny’s fathers house we had to ask for his
permission to make the place look messy. He
said it was a good idea as long as we cleaned up
afterwards! Here are some pictures of the set
once we made it messy!
9. As you can see the
place does look like
a stereotypical
drug den and
believe me it took a
while to clean up!
