What is global warming? An increase in the Earth’s temperature is called Global warming. This includes an increase in air temperature and ocean temperature. This poses a great threat to biodiversity. Global warming is mainly caused by air pollutants that trap the sun’s heat, thus increasing the world’s overall temperature.
Actions for reduce global warming Global Warming is a dramatically urgent and serious problem. We don't need to wait for governments to find a solution for this problem: each individual can bring an important help adopting a more responsible lifestyle: starting from little, everyday things. It's the only reasonable way to save our planet, before it is too late.
The students can try changing them to compact fluorescent bulbs, as they will last longer and conserve energy too. Turn off all appliances which you are not using currently. Try to carpool or walk instead of driving. Riding a bike if possible to go to school Planting lots of trees. Install a programmable thermostat in classrooms with heating or air conditioning, this lowers the energy levels.
if you put a thermostat in the room with air conditioning move 2 ° in winter and up 2 ° in summer, this could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple adjustment. their electronic devices like a laptop does not leave it in standby or "hibernating" and it consumes much more energy to produce more CO2. Use less hot waterIt takes a lot of energy to heat water. You can use less hot water by installing low-flow shower (350 pounds of carbon dioxide per year) and washing your clothes in cold or warm water (500 pounds saved per year) instead of hot. when washing your clothes using a clothesline instead of a dryer whenever possible so you can save 700 pounds of carbon dioxide into the air to dry your clothes for 6 months a year.
recycle their household rubbish, so you can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide per year by recycling half the waste generated in households. biodegradable waste gases such as methane emitted which pollute the environment, students can recycle this waste into compost for gardening. physical activity and when you buy bottled water, it is better to buy a 1.5 liter three of five liters, and that generate less waste. reduce waste, such as when you buy a hamburger is a dish best eaten in lunch box, doing this will help you lower greenhouse gas emissions.
eating fresh and not frozen, as frozen food uses 10Start a carpool with your coworkers or classmates Sharing a ride with someone just 2 days a week will reduce your carbon dioxide emissions by 1,590 pounds a year. times more energy to produce. Try telecommuting from home Telecommuting can help you drastically reduce the number of miles you drive every week. Encourage your school or business to reduce emissions You can extend your positive influence on global warming well beyond your home by actively encouraging other to take action.
