Neemrana in Alwar district located off NH 8 is gaining ground amongst investors for the potential it offers for real estate
development. Barely 122 kms from Delhi, Neemrana has been in the news for the major commercial projects and industrial
estates proposed by the Rajasthan Government in 2006. Known more popularly for its majestic heritage hotel and fort,
commercial and residential property rates in Neemrana have almost doubled with the announcement of the Global City
and the Special Economic Zones and the Kundli-Manesar-Palway expressway which will intersect NH 8 when completed.

Major Industrial Development:
The area is a booming industrial hub of India. Rajasthan Industrial Cooperation RIICO, has developed industrial zones
in various stages in Neemrana in Alwar district in the past several years. Apart from the usual industrial areas, the
Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) and the Japanese Zone. Japanese industrial zone developed by RIICO is
an extension of previously existing industrial zone. Neemrana has a bright future because apart from being in the
proximity to National Capital Region (NCR), it is also a part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and the Delhi-
Mumbai freight corridor. Proposed international investment zones with Korea, Italy and Taiwan already signed MOU’s.
Educational Hub:
Neemrana is being transformed into an education destination with nearly 38 Universities receiving sanction to open
their institutes there. Some of the Major Existing Universities/Institutes in Neemrana are: NIIT University, Raffles
University, Rai University, School of Aeronautics, Cambay Institute of Hospitality & Management, St. Margret
Engineering College.

The Neemrana Fort Palace is situated on a majestic plateau concealed in a horseshoe formation of the Aravalli ranges,
considered the oldest fold mountains in the world. This picturesque site was chosen back in 1464 by Raja Rajdeo, a
descendant of the Chauhans, who ruled from Ajmer and Delhi till 1192. Conveniently located just off the Delhi-Jaipur
highway, Neemrana is Rajasthan’s closest palace to India’s capital, and India’s oldest heritage resort.

Japanese Zone
Korean Zone
•	 An MOU to formalize an agreement to set up the zone was signed between The
Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO)
and South Korean Trade Promotion Agency (Kotra) on March 11, 2013.
•	 The exclusive Korean Zone covering Approximately 250 Acres is being set up
at Ghilhot in Neemrana, which is a fast developing industrial area in the NCR.
•	 Many South Korean Companies especially the automobile parts and electronic
components manufacturers, have shown there interest to set up production
units in Neemrana, because in future Neemrana will become the biggest auto
hub in the country.
•	 Apart from the Japanese and Korean Zones, Taiwan and Italy are also keen
to have their country specific zones in neemrana and have already visited
Neemrana and are in discussion with RIICO.
RIICO Industrial Zone
•	 Neemrana would soon emerge as the ceramics and glass hub of the country. The
large scale availability of all the raw material required by the industry are found
in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Industrial Development and Investment Corporation
(RIICO) will set up ceramic glass hub in 250 hectares at Gilhot in the industrial
area of Neemrana, bordering DMIC, with piped natural gas.
•	 An Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) spread over 210 acres is another
project where some plots have already been occupied by industries.
•	 All Infrastructure facilities will be provided by RIICO like roads, CD works, storm
water drains, street lights, water supply, power, banking, post office, fire fighting
etc.
Alwar to get cargo airport, bullet train
Jaipur: Rajasthan’s first cargo airport and bullet train would
debut in Alwar. The airport would come up in Neemrana
on the Jaipur - Delhi highway. The high - speed train
would be a shuttle service that would run between Delhi
and Alwar at speed ranging between 160 and 180km
per hour. Both projects have been lined up as part of an
aerotropolis - a modern city modelled around airports
to promote aviation intensive business - to facilitate
exports and shipments along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial
Corridor passing through the state.

JAIPUR: Rajasthan has formally become part of the National Capital Region Transport
Corporation (NCRTC) with the Union finance department approving an additional
budget provision of Rs 12.5 crore for construction of a high-speed corridor between
Alwar and Delhi on September 10.
The corporation is a separate body set up by the national capital region planning
board (NCRPB) for speedy connectivity between the national capital and its satellites
towns including Alwar. Four states - Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi -
are the stake holders in the project which has been started with an initial funding of
Rs 100 crore. Each state has contributed 12.5 % while Railways has invested Rs 50
crore.
DMIC
Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is a mega infra-
structure project of USD 90 billion with the financial &
technical aids from Japan, covering an overall length of
1483 KMs between the political capital and the business
capital of India, i.e. Delhi and Mumbai. Also, The
important industrial area of Rajasthan - Neemrana, which
is at the confluence of Delhi-Haryana and Rajasthan is
being connected to the Railway network via the Delhi-
Mumbai freight corridor. Neemrana will get maximum
benefits from it.

Korean Zone • An MOU to formalize an agreement to set up the zone was signed between The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) and South Korean Trade Promotion Agency (Kotra) on March 11, 2013. • The exclusive Korean Zone covering Approximately 250 Acres is being set up at Ghilhot in Neemrana, which is a fast developing industrial area in the NCR. • Many South Korean Companies especially the automobile parts and electronic components manufacturers, have shown there interest to set up production units in Neemrana, because in future Neemrana will become the biggest auto hub in the country. • Apart from the Japanese and Korean Zones, Taiwan and Italy are also keen to have their country specific zones in neemrana and have already visited Neemrana and are in discussion with RIICO. RIICO Industrial Zone • Neemrana would soon emerge as the ceramics and glass hub of the country. The large scale availability of all the raw material required by the industry are found in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) will set up ceramic glass hub in 250 hectares at Gilhot in the industrial area of Neemrana, bordering DMIC, with piped natural gas. • An Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) spread over 210 acres is another project where some plots have already been occupied by industries. • All Infrastructure facilities will be provided by RIICO like roads, CD works, storm water drains, street lights, water supply, power, banking, post office, fire fighting etc.
  • 7. Alwar to get cargo airport, bullet train Jaipur: Rajasthan’s first cargo airport and bullet train would debut in Alwar. The airport would come up in Neemrana on the Jaipur - Delhi highway. The high - speed train would be a shuttle service that would run between Delhi and Alwar at speed ranging between 160 and 180km per hour. Both projects have been lined up as part of an aerotropolis - a modern city modelled around airports to promote aviation intensive business - to facilitate exports and shipments along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor passing through the state. It’s official now: Rajasthan in NCR Transport Corp TNN | Sep 26, 2012, 01.02 AM IST JAIPUR: Rajasthan has formally become part of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) with the Union finance department approving an additional budget provision of Rs 12.5 crore for construction of a high-speed corridor between Alwar and Delhi on September 10. The corporation is a separate body set up by the national capital region planning board (NCRPB) for speedy connectivity between the national capital and its satellites towns including Alwar. Four states - Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi - are the stake holders in the project which has been started with an initial funding of Rs 100 crore. Each state has contributed 12.5 % while Railways has invested Rs 50 crore. DMIC Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is a mega infra- structure project of USD 90 billion with the financial & technical aids from Japan, covering an overall length of 1483 KMs between the political capital and the business capital of India, i.e. Delhi and Mumbai. Also, The important industrial area of Rajasthan - Neemrana, which is at the confluence of Delhi-Haryana and Rajasthan is being connected to the Railway network via the Delhi- Mumbai freight corridor.
