Following on from q.4, the most important consideration
is genre, so show clearly how your film uses genre
conventions to appeal to your target audience.
 Use audience feedback to show how successful you
have been in targeting your audience, and describe any
changes you made as a result of feedback.
 Create a questionnaire and create pie charts to show
your audience feedback visually, and screen-grabs from
youtube to help you to illustrate your success. You might
ask how many correctly identified genre, key characters
etc, as well as how many would watch on from opening
to see what happens.

 5. How did you attract/address your audience? Following on from q.4, the most important
consideration is genre, so show clearly how your film uses genre conventions to appeal to
your target audience.
Genre is one of the most important factor when producing any kind of media product for example
a trailer or an opening sequence like we were making this year. Once you decide on a
specific genre you have to stick to the codes and conventions which comes along with that
specific genre. Before we received feedback from our teacher, past examiner then our focus
our original plan was to scare and leave the audience into suspense and putting them on the
edge of their seats, this was mainly done by the original sound track we used which was
Fever Ray- The wolf, as it built up tension and left the audience with the feeling what is going
to happen next. In our early stages of research we conducted two questionnaires to help us
decide what idea was best to develop and what would be the most suitable name for our
opening sequence.
From these set of results you can
clearly see that idea 3 was the
best and that should be the one
we develop. We believe as a
group that idea three was most
popular due to the fact it
contained more thrilling suspense,
and also had a sense
Of mystery about it, our aim for this idea was to focus purely just or props and not see a
great amount of the female character, this is quite common within thrillers.

4. Question Five
From this questionnaire we concluded that the best
name was Beautiful Psycho therefore we went for this
choice our chosen name. The reason why we believe
this was the favourite is because it was very simple
and straight to the point but still added a sense of
mystery and wanting to know who is psycho and why
are they like that.

I honestly believe that we were very successful in targeting our target audience, due to the
fact when we form our focus group everyone said they enjoyed it a lot, criticism was also
given to us, when this was given thought about it and if we agreed we decided to change
what they didn't like. The strongest criticism was music choice which we eventually changed
which i described in one of my previous blogs when we were asking for permission of two new
music companies, the Music change from Fever Ray- The Wolf to Lykke Li- Possibility and
our new music for our new scene was a Radioactive cover/, the other feedback which we
