I have 5.5 years of experience working in the field of Video Codec Development, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Digital Signal Processing.

I am a member of Vision-Graphics-Imaging team.
Currently working on Interactive Segmentation Solution for Samsung Galaxy Note / Tab Series devices. The Segmentation algorithm is based on graph-cut. Extensions are being added to enable single touch based segmentation for devices without a stylus.
I was involved in the development of a framework for Semantic image segmentation. The project currently involves developing an algorithm for efficient segmentation and classification of images in to Ground, Building and Sky classes. We were using Random trees based classification for image segmentation and Conditional random fields for efficient inference.
I was involved in the development of the face feature tracking algorithm using Active Shape Modelling. The aim of this project is to develop an automated framework for tracking facial feature points in real-time which can be used for virtual human character animation.
I was involved in the development and optimization of a wide variety of video and audio algorithms, Open Video codec and VC-4 development.
Involved in the development of OVC (open video codec), VC-4 (Scalable video codec extension of VC-1 and similar codecs), MPEG-DASH Segmenter. Worked on porting of FFMPEG for android platform.

Brief Summary of projects
Semantic information generation of Images for new User Experiences.
o This project involves development of efficient framework for Semantic information generation for creating new user experiences. Presently, pixel wise classification is done to segment the image into Ground, Building and Sky classes. 3D photo pop-up is the use case that is being targeted. Random forest classifier is being used along with Conditional Random Fields for inference.
Virtual Human Character Development.
o This project involves development of Face Features points tracking Algorithm using Active Shape modelling. Android Application was developed which takes front facing camera input and tracks the face feature points. The feature points are then used to deform a 3D head model which imitates the user.
Development of Open Video Codec (OVC) and VC4 scalability extension on ARM Cortex A9 and x86 multicore processor.
o The project involves the development, standardization and Optimization of the OVC codec and VC4 decoder.
Development and optimization of audio algorithms on ARM and MIPS processor architectures.

o The project involves the development and extension of H.264 High Profile Encoder. The present system is capable of encoding I-frames. The project aims to extend the functionality to support deblocking filter and P-Frames.
