The target audience for the majority of shows shown on E4 are for the teenage and
young adult demographic. Mainly because the TV shows shown on E4 tend to be comedy
and drama hybrids a long with soaps targeted for the younger demographic.
E4 Is owned by channel 4 and is a channel mainly for popular TV Shows, such as
Hollyoaks and The Big Bang Theory.
The type of shows E4 airs are sitcoms, Horror/Sci-Fi dramas, reality TV and TV
soaps.
The actors used on E4 tends to be young and fresh faced, they’re often not seen on
many other TV shows and almost always tend to be British.
3. AMC
The target audience for AMC tends to be of the younger demographic aged between
16 -25. TV shows on AMC are aimed to such a young age as they contain a lot of gore
and violence along with things such a substance abuse, aspect of these shows can be seen
as offensive to crude to the older generation

The types of programs shown on AMC tend to be advertised more for males as they
tend to be sci-fi and horror with a lot of action and violence. Theses TV shows include
The Walking dead and Breaking bad.
The characters used within AMC’s TV shows are strong and dominant and have a
brave aspect to themselves
4. BBC 3
The target audience to BBC 3 tend to be aged between 16 and 24 as the TV shows they air
are crude and are more for the younger generation. BBC 3 is for the younger generation because
the shows they air are often offensive comedy such as family guy and American dad
The BBC own BBC 3 and although they’re trying to cut it out due to funding it’s still going
strong.
The types of programs shown on BBC 3 tend to be comedies and/or Dramas although it
does show a couple documentary's on debateable topics. TV shows such as in the flesh and life
of death row.
The actors tend to be popular or just starting out they’re often from the north of England
and have a good sense of humour and whit about them.
