2. There are many factors that influence how much fuel is used to complete a journey.
3. Load in the vehicle : Don't carry unnecessary things all the time. The additional weight increases the fuel consumption.
4. Engine idling for prolonged periods : While idling, engines consume a lot of fuel. Running an engine when the engine is not moving is pointless.

Engine needs a tune up: Regular maintenance will take care of the various systems and components, which affect the fuel efficiency.

Green Diesel (Ultra low Sulphur diesel) ULSD is diesel fuel with ≤15 ppm sulphur content (in contrast to 500ppm in normal diesel) NOx and particulate matter are the two most harmful diesel pollutants. These emissions can be controlled with the use of catalytic converters (for NOx) and particulate traps. However, sulphur deactivates these devices. Using ULSD enables these devices to work properly.
11. LPG generates less harmful air pollutants and greenhouse gases than conventional petrol. Cars require a “conversion” to use LPG.

Vehicles that run on electricity produce no tailpipe emissions. The only emissions that can be attributed to electricity are those generated in the production process at the power plant (which is at least 60% cleaner than tailpipe emissions per unit of energy). Electricity is easily accessible for short-range driving.
