2. When do we use Present
Perfect?
1- When the action is started at some time in the
past and still continuing now.
Example :

3. When do we use Present Perfect?
2- for actions which happened at unstated
indefinite time at the past, and the exact time is
not important.
Example:
He has broken his arm.
The exact time is not mentioned,
the fact that his arm is broken is more
important.
4. Since & For
• Since is used to state a starting point.
Example:
I have known Hind since 2001.
• For is used to express duration.
Example:
I have known Hind for ten years.
5. How to form the Present
Perfect?
• The present perfect is formed by
combining a helping verb (has or have),
with the past participle.
Has or Have + Past Participle (v3)
ex: has + eaten (eat)
have + lived (live)
