Camille LaPointe-Lyons recommends Sophie Vandamme for a managerial position based on her experience working with Sophie. When Sophie was hired as an executive assistant at Savoir-Faire, an international art materials company, she showed eagerness to learn all aspects of the business. Within two months, Sophie knew the materials and needs of all the artists the company worked with nationwide. Sophie efficiently took on additional responsibilities, including coordinating national trade shows and workshops when her boss traveled. Camille asserts that Sophie is a highly efficient multi-tasker who would be an asset for any company.

To whom this may concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Sophie Vandamme for a project managerial position in
communications or in a related managerial field such as public relations, marketing or
social networking.
When I was first introduced to Sophie by my boss, Pierre Guidetti, CEO of Savoir-Faire,
she was just hired to be his executive Assistant. Sophie had just arrived from France.
Her grasp of the English language was articulate. Her smile was honest. She was very
eager to jump into her new job commitments.
Sophie made sure to meet everyone on staff from managerial positions to the
warehouse emplyoees. She wanted to know what everyone’s duties were and how each
complimented the other to meet the company’s commitments and their deadlines.
Her new position required this information. Savoir-Faire is an international company that
imports very high quality art materials from Europe and Asia to the United States and
Canada.
This company sells their products to every art store and most museums in these
locations. They are involved with national trade shows and promotional workshops.
Sophie was in charge of the coordination of these events.
The company worked with noted artists nationwide who taught workshops at many
annual trade shows. Sophie was to coordinate all needs including travel, hotels, and art
materials needs for each artist.
As Director of Education, and a university instructor, myself, we worked as a team.
Training Sophie was enjoyable. She had no fine art experience before she was hired.
What she did have, was a eagerness to learn. She even took two of my painting classes
to better understand how the art materials were used and why they were considered a
high quality.
Within two months, Sophie was able to communicate with all of the artists and art
instructors that worked with Savoir-Faire nationwide on a first name basis. She knew
which materials each used and when they needed them.
2. I have never met a person as efficient as Sophie in multi-tasking. She worked hours
over-time at the start of her hiring with a smile and a note pad making sure she
understood all that was required of her.
This position also included her bosses needs. Pierre travels monthly nation wide and
world wide. His vast responsibilities rested on Sophie’s shoulders.
Again with a smile and a note pad, she was in control.
Sophie Vandamme will prove to be an asset for any company that hires her.
Sincerely,
Camille La Pointe-Lyons
