The JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Belgium Program (JCI TOYP.be)
JCI TOYP serves to formally recognize young people who excel in their chosen fields and create positive change. By recognizing these young people, JCI raises the status of socially responsible leaders in this world. The honorees motivate their peers to seek excellence and serve others. Their stories of discovery, determination and ingenuity inspire young people to be better leaders and create better societies.

excel in their chosen path in life

Who is the Competition open to?
• Outstanding young persons between the
ages of 18 and 40
• JCI members & non-members
3. Being a Belgian Honoree means:
• Attending the JCI Belgium National Congress
• Receiving a TOYP trophy at the JCI TOYP
Ceremony
• Giving a brief speech during the ceremony
JCI Belgium will provide:
• 2 complimentary National Congress registrations
• Submit you nomination to TOYP of the World
4. Being a World Honoree means:
• Attending the JCI World Congress
• Receiving a TOYP trophy at the JCI TOYP
Ceremony
• Giving a brief speech during the ceremony
• Attending the TOYP excursion and TOYP luncheon
JCI HQ will provide:
• 2 complimentary World Congress registrations
• Accommodations at the Headquarters Hotel
• One economy round-trip ticket to the
World Congress
5. Categories
Each nominee must be entered in one — only one — of the ten categories below:
1. Business, economic, and/or entrepreneurial
accomplishment
2. Political, legal, and/or governmental affairs
3. Academic leadership and/or accomplishment
4. Cultural achievement
5. Moral and/or environmental leadership
6. Contribution to children, world peace, and/or human rights
7. Humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership
8. Scientific and/or technological development
9. Personal improvement and/or accomplishment
10.Medical innovation

• 21 May 2012: Submit the nomination forms to JCI
• The nominee may not be a current member of a
JCI Board at the International, National or Local
levels. In addition paid staff members will not be
considered for the JCI TOYP program.
• The "Vlaamse Jonge Ondernemer" (CYEA) cannot
be nominated for TOYP.

Learn about the JCI TOYP Program Toolkit.\n\nThe JCI TOYP Program is a way for JCI to formally recognize young people who excel in their chosen fields, endeavors & commitment to their communities.\nThis program also allows us to provide fitting role models for other young people by promoting prominent roles played by the aspiring young people\n\nOne of our most important programs, the TOYP program helps us achieve our purpose: provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. \nBy formally recognizing young people who excel in their chosen fields, endeavors & commitment to their communities, JCI encourages them to seek further advancement in personal achievements as well as public services. While also providing fitting role models for other young people by promoting prominent roles played by the aspiring young people in shaping a better future for society.\n
Each year the TOYP Ceremony takes place during the JCI World Congress. During the ceremony each Honoree will be presented with a trophy and given the opportunity to give a brief speech.\nThe Honorees will also be invited to other JCI events that occur during the JCI World Congress.\nJCI will also provide the Honorees with the following:\nTwo complimentary World Congress registrations\nHotel accommodations at a Hotel determined by the JCI Headquarters\nOne economy airline ticket from their home to the JCI World Congress\n(All participants must be willing to be present at the JCI World Congress if selected as an Honoree)\nThe Honorees are presented with two Congress registrations as they are encouraged to bring along a family member or friend to share the experience with them. However, due to budgetary limitations we ask that the accompanying person covers their own travel and accommodation expenses.\n
