1. Open Start | Type “Command Prompt” in Search Box
2. Right-click on Command Prompt to Run as Administrator
3. In the Command Prompt type “certutil –urlcache * delete” without quotes
4. Press Enter | Repeat step 1 to 3 on all user accounts on your system
Set Permissions on Temporary Directory
Your system extracts the content in cabinet (.cab) file before updating root certificate list.
You need to set correct permissions on temporary directory to avoid event ID 11. Below are
instructions to check permissions on temporary directory.
1. GOTO Temporary Directory: %userprofile%AppDataLocalTemp
2. Right-click on Temp | Select Properties

Delete the Content of Some Directories
Delete the content form following directories, enable showing hidden files before
proceeding. Follow the steps given below.
1. Open My Computer | Select Tools | Click on Folder Options
2. Select View tab | Click on Show Hidden File, Folders and Drives | OK
3. Open Start | Type Run in search box
4. GOTO:
“C:WindowsServiceProfilesLocalServiceAppDataLocalLowMicrosoftCryptnetUrlCacheCon
tent” and remove all data
5. GOTO Back and open “CryptnetUrlCache” | Double-click on MetaData folder and
remove all content
6. Repeat step 3 and GOTO:

Content” and remove all data
7. Repeat Step 5 | Open MetaData and remove all content
Uninstall the Device that is Causing Error

1. Open Start | Type “Device Manager” in Search Box
2. Right-click on Device Manager to run as administrator
