WhereasNineteenexceptionalwomenhavebeenselectedtoreceiveawardsatthisyear’sceremony forexcellencein theirfields,
significantcontributionstothebettermentoftheircommunities,andoutstandingaccomplishmentsfortheadvancementof

Whereas Theproceedsfromtheeventwillbenefit CribsforKids®InfantSafeSleepInitiativeinAllegheny County,whichaimsto
eliminateaccidental,sleep-relatedinfantdeathsduetounsafesleepenvironments.Alongwithits550 nationwidepartners, Cribs
forKids®educatesparentsandcaregiversaboutsafesleeppractices,providesportablecribsforfamiliesinneed,andpromotes
legislationthatenhanceshealthcarestandardsinordertoensurethewellbeingofinfants.
Now Therefore, As Representative of the 14th
Congressional District of Pennsylvania, it gives me great pleasure to recognize the
achievements of the nineteen women from the Pittsburgh area who will be honored at the 10th
Annual Women of Achievement
Awardsandthesuccessof CribsforKids®inreducingtheincidenceofsleep-relateddeathininfants.
