2. Advocates For Freedom
Mission Statement
To bring awareness to
Mississippi of the
problem of human
trafficking and to work
with law enforcement
and other advocacy
groups to help the
victims of modern-day
slavery.
4. Volunteering with AFF
My volunteer role with Advocate For Freedom began with their Super
Bowl Weekend event. AFF combined their resources with KLASS Kids and
other non-profits to do surveillance in the New Orleans French Quarter
and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The results of this weekend event led to
the rescue of over 50 plus women some just 13 years old. My role in the
event was to help the outside non-profits with learning the New Orleans
French Quarter since I had work there in a federal street law enforcement
role for over three years. I also helped the non-profits with surveillance
on the Mississippi Gulf Coast around hotels, truck stops, casinos, and
other sites. Since the Super Bowl event weekend I have put in over 90
plus surveillance hours with AFF. Most of the hours are spent at hotels,
truck stops, casinos, online websites that advertise prostitution, and
other sites. So far my work has led to a few cases being review by federal
law enforcement. My other volunteer duties include training other
volunteers in surveillance techniques and tools. Recently I participated in
a Stiletto Walk to help raise awareness.
