- Detection time. If M2M devices are unchecked for long periods, problems may go undetected, compounding the impact.Repair costs. If a mobile device is physically static, perhaps embedded, it is difficult to remove, meaning the cost of repair can be high.Single-purpose M2M devices can be less secure. The unsophisticated single-task nature of many M2M devices can make it difficult to include security software.The following 7methods can safeguard your Anynet™ SIM cards:You can choose to activate the features that you need, when you need them.Our “white list” and “black list” option is like a firewall for SMS services, allowing you to set devices to send SMSs to and from selected numbers thanks to Eseye’s private SMS Centre.IMEI lock allows you to lock your SIMs and devices together. Once a SIM is locked to a device the SIM cannot be removed and used for another device. Our Anynet™ SIMs are programmed to communicate only with Eseye’s secure private APN. Your communications flow through our APN which ensures the service is authorised. There is a Firewall at the APN level. The “Location lock” feature allows you to lock the SIM to work only in your specified location. There is an option to embed a chip SIM. This can be embedded on the PCB in the device and eliminates the risk of tampering - once soldered onto the device’s PCB it stays there!The optional VPN connection provides an additional layer of security and control adding security against unauthorised access or hostile viewing of the data in transit.
