Welcome to this advanced presentation on Swiftpage Strategies on Web Forms and Landing Pages (Swiftpage is also known as Sage e-Marketing).I’m Lori Feldman, President of Aviva LLC and “The Database Diva.” which was recently named the Top Swiftpage Reseller in the world. We help transform websites into list-building tools that generate leads and convert prospects to paying clients. As we announced several weeks ago, Swiftpage is buying ACT from Sage Software and the transaction will close at the end of this month. We are very excited about the future of both products as a result, and we created these Clinics to help you get more out of your Swiftpage subscription. This year we are holding 1 Advanced Clinic per month and next month’s topic will be on following up on your e-marketing with Swiftpage Call Lists.OK, here’s how it works:Today’s presentation is being recorded. You will automatically receive a copy plus our list of resources we’ll be talking about. On your screen you should see the meeting panel, which has a place for you to enter your questions. I’ll be monitoring questions as we go and we’ll save time for Q&A at the end.We want to keep this session to 60 minutes, as promised. So at the end, I’ll let you know when our time’s up, and we’ll officially end the meeting. However, if you still have questions, we’ll stay on a bit longer, and that will be part of the recording if you need to jump off.OK, let me introduce Todd who will be presenting our Swiftpage TUT in just a bit…
Todd Viau is VP of Technology Services and has been with our company for 15 years. Today he’s our man behind the curtain, but he’s our Swiftpage expert, so you’ll be hearing from him later and he’ll be around for your questions.
This part is simple. If you want more leads, you must add more offers and landing pages. Why? Because the era of “Website Brochure-wear” is over. When visitors come to your site, you have to grab them by the hand and lead them to the next step you want them to take. You can’t leave it up to them to read your mind.We did a quick scan of the websites of all of you on this phone call. It was not pretty. Lots of room for improvement. By the end of this call, you will know what you need to do.The good news is that your Swiftpage subscription already includes your ability to set up web forms and landing pages at no extra charge – it’s part of your subscription fee, even though we find it’s one of the least used features. We’re going to remedy that today.
LORIYou’ll want to set up the offer and landing page that will bring you the most traffic. Now, everyone would like only the traffic that is ready to pull out a credit card and buy today. I’m no different. But that’s not realistic. Most of us sell product/services that do not sell on the first try. Our customers must go thru a process. And, we’re not the only ones trying to get their business. So my recommendation is to capture the tire kickers first. If you can get them, you no longer have to rely on your website to sell them. You can continue to follow up with them via drip marketing or your e-newsletter…and even call them if you get their phone number. So here’s the customer buying process…Explain research CLICK , criteria checklist CLICK, short list CLICK
When people come to your website, they are in various stagesTop – The problem is they’re coming to your site but they’re not stickingYou can chk your google analytics reportMiddle – Lots of tire kickers, but don’t stick. Bottom – Need to have mechanisms in place to qualify the leads better before you consider them a true “sales ready” lead.
Here’s our website: www.TheDatabaseDiva.comAnd how we laid out our funnel strategyOur TOFU offer is our highest response CTA…when you click on that link, it goes here
When you click on our TOFU offer, you come to this landing page.I’ve experimented with having short form vs. long formGot more leads with short, but many more unqualif…so fewer leads now but people have to really want it
QUICK TIPFiverr.com
Not going to take the time now to go over what should be on the perfect landing page, but you will all receive this free LP Blueprint after today’s CLINIC, so don’t worry about taking notes.Everything on this form is possible to do in your Swiftpage account right now for your current sub fee…except for the graphics (Fiverr.com)1. Minimized Navigation—A landing page should have only 1 choice: To complete the Call To Action (CTA). Eliminate other navigation and links. Do not offer a way to go “Home.”2. Phone Number—The more “contact us” options you give people, the more inbound leads you generate. Some people like to click submit; others want a human connection.3. Compelling Headline specifically appealing to a targeted “persona” (prospect type) and “asks for the order.”4. Offer Image—Optional, but a picture is worth…5. Persuasive copy that drives readers to complete the form. About 100 words. Include WIIFM (what’s in it for me) benefits6. Strong CTA Banner Art—The focal point of the landing page. Make it impossible for a reader to be confused by what you want him to do on this page7. Web Form—The fewer info fields you ask for, the less risky your reader perceives the data exchange. Be patient, and respect the reader’s time table for sharing more of their valuable data.8. Social Shares—Web visitors like to share good ideas/resources with peers. Social sharing buttons help them spread the word and generate more web traffic for you.9. Submit Button—”Submit” conjures “red tape.” Studies show using “GET,” in your Submit button copy, is a powerful conversion verb.
These are the 4 parts of a Landing Page whether you end up doing it in Swiftpage or not:Landing page, thank you page, drip marketing follow up are all done thru Swiftpage’s survey tool. Once you have the first one set up, it’s super simple to copy / paste the next one and then change the offer
HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTIf you added 3 new offers for each phase of your sales funnel, that would be 9 new offers! For most of you, that’s 9 offers PERIOD! Of course you want a CONTACT US form, too, but that’s more of a BOFU offer and is not special in any way.Cheat sheetSpecial ReportSign up for the newsletterOnline calculatorCome up with a middle of the funnel offerFree CritiqueFree Eval / AuditCase StudiesBottom of the Funnel offerFree Consult$100 off first order

TODDAs Lori said, the way to get more leads is to do more with your website. Google has already made algorithm changes to reward websites that update frequently and penalize sites that never update…in other words, if you wait a year or more to update your site, you’ll not only lose rankings in the search results, but your more active competitors will overtake you. (And when we say competitors, we mean global competitors, not just your local competitors.)But if you have impediments to working on your website…like paying a webmaster to do it for you or having a website that’s too hard to post to…then you won’t do it. And you won’t get all the leads you should. So we use and recommend WordPress to manage your site…POLLWordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and a content management system (CMS).WordPress is used by over 14.7% of Alexa’s "top 1 million" websites. As of August 2011, WP manages 22% of all new websites.WordPress is currently the most popular blogging system in use on the Web.As of December 2011, version 3.0 had been downloaded over 65 million times.POLL RESULTSOK, remember your letter!
TODDIf you are an E – You’re probably not technical, but, “ignorance of the law is no excuse.” You still need to have the path of least resistance to updating your website if you want more traffic and sales leads from your site. If you are an “A” or “C”My recommendation is to convert your site to WordPress. Lori will talk about an offer for you at the end of our CLINIC.But, if there’s a technical reason you can’t convert your site, no worries…we still have options for you!If it’s a financial consideration, then consider this: If you do what we recommend today but have to pay your webmaster every time you do it, then your breakeven for paying for a WordPress conversion for the future ability to update your site yourself is probably less than 18 mos.
TODDWe have 3 ways to add landing pages to your website depending on which “letter” you are:If you’re “A” or “C” - Swiftpage can host a landing page for you…and I’ll show you what that will look like in just a minuteIf you’re “D” – you can have Swiftpage host your landing pages or you can embed a web form directly on your site with HTML code. But you need programming to do this optionIf you’re “B” - We developed a plug-in that connects WordPress web forms to your Swiftpage account for $79. (The form you used to sign up for this CLINIC was a WP form).
