2. Wow, thinking…Isn’t that a simple but complex word? How many times has a parent uttered the
words “what were you thinking?” or “you better think before you do or say,” what about “don’t
think I didn’t see that!”
Thinking is one of those words so commonly used that it’s meaning is actually taken for granted.
The definitions of thinking is more than subjective, its, hmmm what’s the word I’m looking for?
Lets just say to define “thinking” is more than to have a conscious mind, to some extent of
reasoning, remembering experiences, making rational decisions, etc. or to employ
one’s mind rationally and objectively in evaluating or dealing with a given situation.

Really, What Are We Actually Thinking About?

Am I the only one curious to know what people are truly thinking about? I see the comments
and videos placed on Facebook, I hear about the things posted on Twitter and the other social
networks, but is that all we think about? Are those today’s version of think tanks?
My concern is that many of us have lost or never gained the ability to think critically. There is
truth to positive thinking, there is substance to critical thinking, there is honor and respect when
it comes to thinking about others before yourself but when does the ever elusive unification of all
the trains of thought previously mentioned converge and work in concert to produce brilliance.
I personally beg of you to take 10 minutes of your day and just think. Sit in a corner, turn off
the lights, turn off the television, eliminate all noise and just THINK. Thinking is special, thinking is
a necessity, thinking is everlasting and never ending. Just THINK, please, we need more
THINKERS THINKING!
