Today our lesson is based on the book of Proverb 18:13. “He who answers before listening--that is his folly and his shame.” Solomon today teaches us about the Art of Listening. It is most important that we learn to listen carefully before taking any action. It is just like listening to instruction before commencing to do your exam paper in school. Failing which you may be disqualified to take the exam.
A wise person is not hasty in his action. He would listen first and then weighs the pro and corn of it before taking any decision. He wants to understand the situation before taking action. Why God give two ears and one mouth? It shows that God wants us to listen carefully with our ears. Listen first then judge.
Get all your facts right first before you attempt to solve the problem or do the job. You must sort and set priority first taking action. Short-cut is not is dangerous.
Do not see the outward of a person. We are always doing this. Jew & Roman always accused first and talk later.
