Tribal’s digital learning team, together with strategic partners, celebrated another successful m-learning project, BLOOM (Bite-sized Learning Opportunities on Mobile Devices) at the House of Commons on 22nd June. The aim of the event was to showcase how mobile learning is helping employers across Europe deliver improved training, and to explore the impact that using mobile devices can have on skills development and knowledge enhancement. BLOOM (Bite-sized Learning Opportunities on Mobile Devices) is a bold partnership of unions, training organisations, employers, and mobile experts who have been developing mobile learning materials for employees across Europe. Delivery in bite-size chunks gives employers greater flexibility and control over delivering and monitoring the training of their workforce, and gives employees access to learning in spaces and places where previously it was unavailable. Renowned industry speakers including Dr Mike Short, Vice President for Group Research and Development of Telefonica O2 Europe; Ray Anderson, CEO of Bango, Geoff Stead Director, Digital Learning Studio, Tribal; Danny Atware, Manager of Molenet, Learning and Skills Network and Dave Whyley, Wolverhampton and Learning2Go discussed and shared the vision for m-learning. Taxi driver and Learning Representative, Carl Werbisky was also present to talk about his experience with BLOOM and how it can be used in taxi sector.
