Jack The
Ripper
Daniel Luque
Crime and Scene (Canonical Five)
 Who: Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth
Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly
 What: Gruesomely murdered and mutilated
 When: August-November 1888
 Where: White Chapel District, London
Psychological Profile
 The psychological profile has never
been confirmed, but because of the
consistency of the murders, it is inferred
that this killer organized his crimes.
 Little is known about this killer.
Backround on Jack The Ripper
 Motive: No clear motive, but all of his
killings were usually female prostitutes
and Irish immigrants that loitered around
the White Chapel District
 His victims were usually female
prostitutes from the slums
 No connection to victims
 Jack The Ripper's history of violence
mainly ranged from 1888-1891, but this
has not yet been proven
Forensic Evidence
 Similar mutilation marks among bodies were identified
(removed uterus, removed intestines, cut throat, and
split torso)
 Letters from Jack The Ripper were also gathered, but
some were claimed to be hoaxed
Legal Aspects
 CASE NEVER RESOLVED.
 Over 2,000 suspects were interviewed, 300
investigated, and 80 detained
It has been inferred that the perpetrator was an upper
class citizen at the time, maybe a doctor because of
the precision of his mutilations and removal of organs
within his victims
Interesting Facts
 All of the letters that were received at the scene of the crimes
were labeled, “ From Hell “
 Jack The Ripper's killings initiated a media frenzy, and helped
make it what it is today
 His other names were, “The Leather Apron” and “ White Chapel
Murderer”
 Movie was made starring Johnny Depp, “ From Hell”
Reflections
 I picked this person mainly because all of his crimes
have never been solved, and the number of victims
killed is over 25. 25 unsolved grotesque murders
 Pictures of five of his victims exist (1880's), and some,
too gory too show
 He is the epitome of a serial killer, NEVER CAUGHT
