In May 2007, Dr. Izzat Atiyya, lecturer at Cairo's Al-Azhar University, issued a fatwa*
that suggested that male and female colleagues could use "breastfeeding" to get around
a religious ban on being alone together.

After being threatened with disciplinary action by the university, Atiyya issued a
retraction, saying the fatwa was "a bad interpretation of a particular case" during the time
of Muhammad.

In May 2010, in Saudi Arabia the issue arose again, when Sheikh Al Obeikan, adviser to
the royal court and consultant to the Ministry of Justice, advocated "office
breastfeeding".

In Islam, it is forbidden for a female to show any parts of her body such as breasts, chest,
hair, and so on, to a grown male stranger.
Yet, muslim scholars and sheikhs who advocate "office breastfeeding" pretend that it is
OK for a muslim woman to do the following:
1) To allow a grown-up stranger to enter her house
2) To open her clothes intentionally
3) To allow such stranger adult to see parts of her body
4) To allow this man to touch her body
5) To suckle him!!!

According to the most trusted islamic sources, it was Muhammad, the prophet of
Islam, who permitted such a shameful practice...
A man named Abu Hudhaifa became envious regarding the fact that his adult adopted
son lived in the same house where his wife Sahla roamed unveiled...
So Muhammad said to Sahla:
Suckle him.
She said:
But he is a grown-up man.
Muhammad smiled and said:
I know!

' A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Sahla bint Suhail came to Allah's

Abu Hudhaifa (signs of disgust) on entering of Salim (who is an ally) into (our
house), whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She
said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? Allah's Messenger (may peace
be upon him) smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man

and said: Salim has attained (purbety) as men attain, and he understands what they
understand, and he enters our house freely, I, however, perceive that something
(rankles) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa, whereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be
upon him) said to her: Suckle him and you would become unlawful for him, and
(the rankling) which Abu Hudhaifa feels in his heart will disappear. She returned
and said: So I suckled him,

Sahla daughter of Suhail came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and
said: Allah's Messenger, I swear by Allah that I see in the face of Abu Hudhaifa (the
signs of disgust) on account of entering of Salim (in the house), whereupon Allah's
Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She (Sahla bint Suhail) said:
He has a heard. But he (again) said: Suckle him, and it would remove what is there
(expression of disgust) on the face of Abu Hudhaifa. She said: (I did that) and, by
Allah, I did not see (any sign of disgust) on the face of Abu Hadhaifa.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Safiyya bint Abi Ubayd told him
that Hafsa, umm al-muminin, sent Asim ibn Abdullah ibn Sad to her sister Fatima
bint Umar ibn al-Khattab for her to suckle him ten times so that he could come in to
see her. She did it, so he used to come in to see her.

A'isha umm al-muminin took that as a precedent for whatever men she wanted to
be able to come to see her. She ordered her sister, Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr as-
Siddiq and the daughters of her brother to give milk to whichever men she wanted
to be able to come in to see her.

‫عليه وسلم في رضاعة سالم وحده ل وال ل يدخل علينا بهذه الرضاعة أحد فعلى هذا كان أزواج النبي صلى ال‬
‫عليه وسلم في رضاعة الكبير‬

The rest of the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
refused to let anyone come in to them by such nursing. They said, 'No! By Allah! We
think that what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
ordered Sahla bint Suhayl to do was only an indulgence concerning the nursing of
Salim alone. No! By Allah! No one will come in upon us by such nursing!'

decided to keep this story to himself for a year or so!

‫فمكثت سنة أو قريبا منها ل أحدث به وهبته ثم لقيت القاسم فقلت له لقد حدثتني حديثا ما حدثته بعد قال فما هو‬
‫فأخبرته قال فحدثه عني أن عائشة أخبرتنيه‬

whereupon he said: Suckle him so that he may become unlawful (in regard to
marriage) for you He (Ibn Abu Mulaika) said: I refrained from (narrating this
hadith) for a year or so on account of fear. I then met al-Qasim and said to him:
You narrated to me a hadith which I did not narrate (to anyone) afterwards. He
said: What is that? I informed him, whereupon he said: Narrate it on my authority
that 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) had narrated that to me.

Al-Husayn (a.s.) did not have any milk from Fatima (a.s.) nor from other females.
They would bring him to the Holy Prophet (s.a) and he would place his thumb in his
mouth and he would suck from it that much that would suffice him for three days.
