Test Booking Tutorial, Student Accessibility Services
At the beginning of each and every term, fall, winter, spring and summer, students are required to activate their account with Student Accessibility Services. To activate, you must send us an e-mail to student_accessibility@umanitoba.ca with the subject title “activation”. In this e-mail, please include your full name, your student number and if you will be requiring Volunteer Note-Takers, (if they are part of your accommodations).
We enforce a strict deadline for booking all tests, midterms and exams. For anything being written in the Fall and Winter term, we require a minimum of two weeks notice. Anything being written in the Spring and Summer term, we require a minimum of one week notice.
The office hours for the Student Accessibility Services Test/Exam Centre for September to April are Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-9:00pm and Fridays 8:30am-4:30pm. We are generally closed Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, but will open Friday nights until 9:00 and Saturdays if there are exams booked. For May to August we are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm, but will stay open until 9:00pm and on Saturdays if exams are scheduled.
