The Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA) provides highly
effective economic development programs and services which contribute to Virginia Small Business Financing
Virginia’s prosperity by creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs and generating
additional revenues. The agency supports business expansion, formation and Authority
recruitment efforts by providing the following programs and services: Industrial Development Bonds
Entrepreneurial/Business Education and Assistance:

Business One Stop (BOS): Providing Access to Capital for
An innovative, online service designed to accelerate business formation in Entrepreneurs
Virginia. While the capabilities of this service are being expanded, Business One
Stop currently provides specific licensing, permitting and registration
requirements for many types of businesses and assist with partial completion of
the necessary forms.
Virginia Business Information Center (VBIC):
This heavily utilized information resource for Virginia businesses provides
personalized assistance by phone, email or live chat. VBIC counselors responds
to questions, problems and inquiries about business formation, access to
