ABSTRACT:
Electronic voting (also known as e-voting) is an advanced project and
gives higher security when combined with bio-metrics. Now a days rigging
and re-elections are very common situations in our society. That’s the reason
why we are implementing our project to avoid those things.
Our electronic voting technology includes a fingerprint module
which is used to store the fingerprints of the people of the city. We will take
the finger prints of the particular localized persons of the city. After storing
all the values into the FPRS we will connect that module to our designed
microcontroller board.
In our project we will select the number of parties and we will write
the code for the party count to be increased while voting to each party by
putting our finger onto the fingerprint scanner. After overall voting
completion while we press a button in our keys our designed board with
FPRS through RS232 is displays the message on the LCD. The result will be
delivered to a mobile when the user enters correct password. It can be better
useful in companies, colleges and industries and wherever we required the
rigging avoidance in voting.
The system uses a compact circuitry build around flash version of
AT89S52 microcontroller with a non volatile memory. Programs are
developed using Embedded C, compiled using RIDE tool. ISP is used to
dump the code into microcontroller.
