Benefitting Loudoun ENDependence
EVENT: Village at Leesburg will hold its 2nd Annual FREE Summer Block Party benefitting
Loudoun ENDependence (LEND), a non-profit that provides peer counseling,
mentoring, and other self-help services to Loudoun County residents who have
disabilities, promoting those residents with a more self-sufficient life in the
community.
The event will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Kristen Umstattd
and Town of Leesburg officials to recognize the additional handicap accessible
parking spaces that have enhanced Village at Leesburg.
Festivities will include free entertainment by local bands: Nocturnal Rush, Stone
Collective, The Inconceivables and Grand Theft Radio, face painting, balloon
twisting, an acrobatic juggler, Cirque du Soleil stilt walker, sidewalk sale, store
and restaurant specials and much more!
Participating stores and restaurants of Village at Leesburg will have outdoor
booths and will offer special discounts, sampling, and more throughout the
evening. At 5:00 p.m., King Pinz will open the beer garden outside of their
location.
Event goers are encouraged to register onsite for a chance to win a $250 prize
and a year-long Cobb Village 12 Cinemas movie pass, valued at over $2,500!
Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Mobile Health Services bus will be onsite providing free
health screenings, a cooling station and basic first aid.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for use during the evening’s musical
performances.
