2. The outer or vast space is known as Universe. It
contain so many galaxies which means that the
whole solar system is contained by Universe. We
are living in a galaxy named as Milky Way
Galaxy. There are about 1,00,00,00,00,000
galaxies. So the total number of stars are
10,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,000.
3.
4.
5. Solar System it contain the Sun, Eight Planets,
satellites, stars, comets and some human made
satellites.
6.
7. Planets are celestial bodies which
revolve
around the Sun. Planets does not
have there
own light. It reflects the light of
Sun. In our
solar system ,there are only eight
planets.
8. These eight Planets are :-
1 . Mercury (Budh) :- Mercury is 1st
nearest planet
to Sun in our solar system and it is
smallest planet
in the solar system. It have no satellites.
It have a
temperature of about
350* C.
9. 2 . Venus (Shukar) :- Venus is 2nd
nearest
planet
to Sun in the solar system. Venus is
nearest planet
to earth. Venus is the brightest planet in
our solar
system. Sometime , Venus appears in the
eastern
sky before sunrise and sometime appears
in the
western sky after sunset. It have a
temperature
10. 3. Earth (Prithvi) :- Earth is 3rd
nearest
planet to
Sun in our solar system. Earth is only a
planet
were life exists. Earth has only one
natural
satellite (Moon) . From the space the
earth appears
blue and green because earth contain
water which
looks blue and trees on the land which
11. 4. Mars (Mangal) :- Mars is 4th
nearest
planet to
Sun in our solar system. Mars has
reddish colour.
Mars has two satellite. It have a
temperature of
about 20*C.
12. 5. Jupiter (Brihaspati) :- Jupiter is 5th
nearest
planet to Sun in our solar system. Jupiter
is the
biggest planet in our solar system. It has
a faint
ring. Because of the large mass, Jupiter
have strong
gravitational pull. It has large number
moons. Its
average temperature is 73*C.
13. 6. Saturn (Shani) :- Saturn is 6th
nearest
planet to
Sun in our solar system. Saturn have
yellowish
colour. It have 60 satellite. It also has
rings
around it. It is the 2nd
largest planet in
our solar
system. It have a temperature about
-120*C.
14. 7. Uranus (Indra) :- Uranus is the 7th
nearest
planet to Sun. it has bluish in colour.
Uranus is 3rd
largest planet in our solar system. It
have twenty
named satellite and one newly discovered
satellite.
It average temperature is 213*C.
15. 8. Neptune (Varuna) :- Neptune is 8th
nearest
planet to Sun in our solar system.
Neptune is the
4th
largest planet in our solar system. It
have eight
known satellite. It average temperature
is about
213*C.
16. Satellites are celestials bodies which
revolves
around the another celestial bodies.
There are two types of satellites :-
1.Natural Satellites :- A natural
satellites is
satellite which revolves around the
celestial body.
E.g. Moon.
17. 2. Artificial Satellites :- An artificial
satellites is
made by NASA that revolves around the
earth.
These artificial satellites help in
communication.
E.g. Aryabhatt, the 1st
Indian satellite.
18. A group of stars which make a
recognizable
shape in the sky .
E.g. - Uras Major, Uras minor, Orion,
Cassiopeia etc.
