6. Questions to
consider before
adding to the core?
Is this information useful to the wider group?
Is this information for permanent reference (wiki) or
temporary news (blog)?
Does it meet the file size restrictions? 20mb limit on
documents?
Do I need to make an announcement to draw
attention to this latest information?
7. How to make an
announcement
Each community has its own ‘announcements’.
You will see all announcements for each community
you are a member of.
Only the Community Owner can make an
announcement.
If you want to link an announcement to your blog,
wiki, forum or other item contact the relevant
community owner.
8. write a Blog
Anyone can contribute a blog to the community they
are a member of, including the ‘Woodhead Global’
community.
Anyone can comment on an existing blog.
21. update a Wiki
page
Using the same method as creating a blog… you can
contribute information and update a wiki page.
You should only update a wiki when;
You know the existing information is incorrect.
You have additional information to share with the
community.
You have been instructed to by the community owner.
22. Using Search
The CORE has a super search tool which can help
you find anything on the portal.
