Who We’re Trying to Reach
• Young adults
   – High School/College age as well as parents
   – These are the people entering adult world and will
     impact society
• The message they need to hear:
   – SOCT offers more than the summer games/events, the
     organization also focuses on bringing people into the
     mainstream, skill building, increasing social
     interaction, and opens up a world of opportunities
Much more than Summer Games
• Winter (750 athletes, 250 coaches, 800
  volunteers):
   – Floor hockey
   – Snowboarding
   – Speed skating
• Fall Sports Festival (over 1100 athletes and
  partners, 430 volunteers, 287 coaches):
   – Golf
   – Softball
   – Croquet
Much more than Summer Games

Who We’re Trying to Reach • Young adults – High School/College age as well as parents – These are the people entering adult world and will impact society • The message they need to hear: – SOCT offers more than the summer games/events, the organization also focuses on bringing people into the mainstream, skill building, increasing social interaction, and opens up a world of opportunities
  • 3. Much more than Summer Games • Winter (750 athletes, 250 coaches, 800 volunteers): – Floor hockey – Snowboarding – Speed skating • Fall Sports Festival (over 1100 athletes and partners, 430 volunteers, 287 coaches): – Golf – Softball – Croquet
  • 4. Much more than Summer Games (continued) • Holiday Sports Classic
  • 5. What we Like About You • Easy to see the organization’s sponsors • Donate button is easily accessible • Picture slide show on website is creative way to deliver organization’s message • Great to branch out into social media • Great sponsors • Several positive reviews in online articles
  • 6. What to Watch Out For • Too much emphasis on summer games • Not enough emphasis on importance of year round participation • Lack of awareness from certain audiences
