25. Hubs
Airline hubs are airports that an airline uses as
a transfer point to get passengers to their
intended destination. It is part of a hub and
spoke model, where travelers moving between
airports not served by direct flights change
planes en route to their destinations. This is as
opposed to the Point to Point model. Many
hubs of the airlines are also situated at
airports in the cities of the respective
head offices.

application first developed in the late
1980s as a front end to mainframe
computer reservations systems.
The Q.I.K. acronym was derived from
its use of a separate keypad
attached to the keyboard.

efficiency, cut costs, and enhance the
customer and staff experience.
This technology is also powerful and flexible
enough to support airlines such as ANA
who use reservations systems from other
technology providers. But On 2015, it
will completely migrate to Altéa.
