They are drawing more power and generating more heat causing power gaps and hot spots. Particle Sensor Example: An IT department at an end user was having issues with failing servers. The server manufacturer responded that the customer had a suboptimal environment for the servers with too much dust. This dust was getting sucked into the servers and clogging them – causing them to fail. The customer was able to leverage a particle sensor to verify that their servers were not failing because of excessive dust. This allowed them to get their servers replaced under warranty, free of charge.
