2. YOUR CURRENT FEE SET UP
For some people this is the image that comes to mind every time
their accountant issues them with a Note of Fee.
It's true that most medium to large firms have a fee structure that
means the more senior the person involved with your work, the
more costly it becomes.
3. EXAMPLE OF MEDIUM/LARGE SIZED
PRACTICE FEE STRUCTURE
Accounts Assistant
In most cases the basic bones of the
bookkeeping / accountancy work will be
carried out by this person.
Their average client charge out rate:
£100 - £150 per hour
Practice Manager
The manager supervises all the work and
subsequently reviews the work done by
the Accounts Assistant.
Their average client charge out rate:
£200 - £250 per hour
Practice Partner
Nothing leaves a practice without getting
the final seal of approval from the
partner. They are also, in most cases, the
person you will meet with to finalise your
accounts.
Their average client charge out rate:
£300 - £425 per hour
above rates are for example purposes only but where arrived at by reviewing over 15 accountancy practice websites.
4. ABAS FEE STRUCTURE
To start with we have only one charge out rate because the same person does all your
work – from start to finish.
We can quote you a fixed rate fee per job (eg. for annual accounts preparation).
Most of our clients prefer to use our Fixed Monthly Retainer Scheme.
Although our charge out rate is lower, the level of service and professionalism remains high
throughout.
5. WHAT IS THE FIXED
MONTHLY RETAINER SCHEME
Together with our clients, we establish the scope of our work for the coming year and provide a fixed fee
quote. This fee is paid by fixed monthly instalments over the coming twelve months.
Fee does not change even if the volume of your day to day transactions increases.
Includes all meetings, phone calls and other communications (emails etc).
Spread the cost over twelve months with no surprises.
Not a fixed contract so you are not tied into a term should you wish to opt out of the scheme.
6. WHAT IS LIKELY TO BE INCLUDED
