Location:
The Stray Fields, Harrogate
Equipment:
DSRL Camera, A Model, Appropriate Clothing, Balloons
Experiment:
Out of focus images.
Movement images.
Double exposure images.
The scenery I have decided upon gives me options to find the most interesting viewpoint to
place my model and the angle in which I will take my photograph. The photographs will also
capture different parts of the nature I wish to include such as trees and any other possibilities of
objects.
I will take out of focus photographs firstly. I will switch the camera lens to manual focus and
ensure that the image is not in focus. I will use the aperture priority mode to take my images
using a range of f stops to watch the effect between each photograph. I will then choose the best
photograph for one of my final pieces. The image will be a recognisable silhouette of my model
in different positions. I do not intend to use any post-production to this work and instead I will use
the images directly for the camera.
I will also use the camera technique to create movement photography. The model will be in
motion during exposure skipping and dancing around, as well as twirling round to show the
movement and flow of the skirt she will be wearing. I will use the TV (shutter priority) mode to
control the time the shutter is open to get the best photograph. The camera will need to be
completely still, I will use something for the camera to lean on so it has no movement. This will
allow stationary objects to remain in focus and give a counterbalance to the moving elements.
The images will be colourful and the model will be moving around in various different positions
until I capture the best photograph.
For my last photograph I will use the multiple exposure technique. This can sometimes be done
using the camera settings but because the camera I am using will not allow me to do that I will
have to create the end image using the tools within Photoshop. I will take photographs of the
model in different positions to show different emotions. I will also take close-ups of the models
face using different angles of the camera to then edit in Photoshop.
