Disable SSID / Invisible SSID to make your network more secure. You need to
configure your device to connect this access point even it is not transmitting SSID.
Disabling SSID visibility may not practicle in some situations.
(Rembeber SSID of your network, as you may need it while manually configuring
Wireless clients.)

Limit the bandwidth of Access Point.

Use WPA or WPA2 encryption than WEP encryption when ever possible.

Change default router IP address. This is the IP address we usually use to access
control panel. The connected devices use this IP address as default gateway & DHCP
Server to get leased IP address from DHCP Server.

access point. You have to set optimal Transmit power by experimenting various
power setting & checking connectivity of each client device.
