Chain Stories is a European Union funded education project to motivate the learning of languages in early language learners (8 to 12 years). http://www.chainstories.eu/
The project works through children 'intercomprehending' the text of a story written by other children in one of the Romance languages. The project is open to schools across Europe that use a Romance language as the native language of learning.

2. French Italian Portugueses Romanian Spanish The Chain Stories European project is an innovative project designed to motivate young children,to learn languages. The project asks 5 schools in each of the 5 Romance languages, to write a story together. Each school has to 'Intercomprehend' the language of the previous chapters, and then write their continuing chapter.
3. A Portuguese teacher said - I’m really surprised with the interest and the adhesion of the children to an activity as complex as this. The project has been piloted with very positive results

5. Schools can make a chain of schools, decide on stories, complete a project and upload results. On the website all the documents and tools needed to complete a Chain Project can be found.

Cristian, dressed in his rabbits and carrots pyjamas, is looking through a picture book. Just then, the Prince of the Stars and Cristian appeared by magic. The Prince has The Friendship Star in his hands. ‘ Well Done Maltazar! My congratulations. I would like you to have The Friendship Star. Let’s all celebrate together! ' together! '
