Cloud computing provides on-demand access to shared computing resources like servers, storage, databases, networking, software and analytics over the internet. It delivers computation, software and storage services that users can access without knowledge of the physical location or configuration of the underlying system. There are four types of cloud computing based on usage - public, private, hybrid and community clouds. The main advantages of cloud computing are reduced costs through pay-as-you-go models, increased storage capacity, automation of software updates, flexibility and increased mobility.

2. What is Cloud Computing ????
Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared
resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices
on demand, like the electricity grid.
Cloud computing provides computation, software, data access, and
storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location
and configuration of the system that delivers the services.
3. Types of Computing :
That share characteristics with cloud computing :
1.Autonomic Computing
2.Client – Server model
3.Grid Computing
4.Mainframe Computer
5.Utility Computer
6.Peer to Peer
4. Types of cloud computing :
Based on the usage cloud computing is divided into 4 major
types. Each of which has their limitations and their area of
use. They are as follows :
• Public cloud
• Community cloud
• Hybrid cloud
• Private cloud
5. There are many ways in which the concept of
cloud computing has advantage over the other types of
computing .
The five main advantages of cloud computing
which have proved very much useful to the mankind
over the decade are as follows…
8. 3. Highly Automated :
No longer do IT personnel need to worry about
keeping software up to date.
9. 4. Flexibility :
Cloud computing offers much more flexibility than past
computing methods.
10. 5. More Mobility :
Employees can access information wherever they
are, rather than having to remain at their desks.
11. The applications of cloud computing are practically limitless. Potentially,
everything from generic word processing software to customized computer
programs designed for a specific company could work on a cloud computing
system.
• Clients would be able to access their applications and data from anywhere
at any time.
• Cloud computing gives the companies the option of storing data on
someone else's hardware, removing the need for physical space on the front
end.
• Google docs is another application of Cloud Computing.
12. Real Time Applications :
Real time applications of cloud computing includes one of the
most widely used concept of Google cloud printing which
provides printing on the go.
13. Another real time application of the cloud computing
is the usage of cloud printing by the traffic police to print the
challan by using a smartphone.
14. Cloud computing is an online form of computing , where a
user can access applications via a browser while the
application is installed and stored on a server. This is a new
form of computing in which thousands of users all around
the world can access something without downloading and
installing anything on their laptops or personal computers.
