I interviewed three people: a 4th yr undergrad, a
recent MA grad, and a hiring director at a
Univeristy.
I’ve focused on the undergrad’s notes, but I added in
a couple of the MA grad’s that were related, and
then juxtaposed those of the hiring director, because
they were often nearly complete opposites.
This mix of perspectives I hope highlights and
provides some context for the primary problem I will
define of the 4th year undergrad.

Stakeholder
8.
This student needs a better way to recognize
opportunities in school to develop non-content-
specific skills and qualities valued by a potential
employer.
Need
9.
His education is not adequately providing him with
the experience and abstract qualities desired by a
potential employer. Or, in the cases that it attempts
to, it is not communicating to him why what it asks
is useful and how to better utilize its lessons for his
own future benefit. The result is that he forms his
own conclusions based on his limited information
and then acts on them, likely to his own detriment.
